The EMAP Training Course is an opportunity for emergency management professionals within emergency management programs to learn about the Emergency Management Accreditation Program (EMAP), EMAP standards, and preparing their programs for assessment and accreditation.
*EMAP training is mandated for all Program EMAP Accreditation Managers.
The EMAP Training Course at the Emergency Management Institute (EMI):
Tribal representatives can submit directly to NETC Admissions Office. To obtain a Form 119-25-1 and for further information, please refer to the EMI web site at: http://training.fema.gov/Apply. All applications must be received in the NETC Admissions Office no later than 30 days prior to the course.
It is the responsibility of the course registrant to ensure that their FEMA Admissions Application is received and approved by their State Emergency Management Training Office and FEMA at least 6 weeks prior to the course start dates.The course registrant will receive a letter of enrollment confirmation from FEMA EMI that will also include needed travel information to the National Emergency Training Center (NETC).

Private Sector Participation:
The EMAP Training Course is designed for program staff who will lead their programs through accreditation and/or baseline assessment. Recognizing that private sector consultants and contractors can be of assistance to programs in preparing for assessment and accreditation, this course is open to private sector consultants for a registration fee of $350 U.S. Pre-registration is required. Registration includes participation in the session and one copy of training materials, including copy of the Emergency Management Standard by EMAP.
